Hello all my Mellie cakers!!
Just to let you know, there are fires all around us and one is 60% contained and the other is 20% contained. I will not be baking this week due to the possibility of evacuation. Seeing stuff like this happening around me makes me want to invent a Mellie cake though. Of course, I have thought of one. A commemorative fire fighter cupcake with orange icing "peaks" that look like fire. What do you think.....probably not going to happen but I must keep the humor during this state of emergency!! If I do make them, I will bring tem to command central so they can enjoy a sweet treat for coffee break.
Lord help us all and thank you that some evacuees are able to go home tomorrow too!! Please keep all of west Kelowna in your thoughts and prayers....every little prayer counts :-)
